Hi everyone! Been awhile but I'm into some new stuff.
TOAD HOUSES!
That's right, I have a zillion toads in my Garden so I decided to make some toad houses.
So not having a kiln I figure I'll try air hardening clay.
I'm out watering this groundcover spreading purple salvia and I see
a toad burrowed down in the dirt!
I'm like 'Dude! I'm going to drown you, you need to move!
So I built a temporary toad house out of a broken pot and some seashells and put him in it.
Next day he was GONE. Like REALLY gone.
Then I was like whats the point of building toad houses when the toads don't like them.
UNTIL TODAY....
I looked in the pot and there's a toad!
So I'm back on track and will keep you updated on my handmade toad houses.

Golden tree in bloom
hardcore pollenation

There's pollen everywhere!
Having serious sinus headaches.
This is by far my best grower yet,
some white iris that's gone apeshit.
It's huge in comparison to the others I planted.
Iris comes from the Greek word for a rainbow,
and wouldn't you know I like the white ones.

Next up is....the golden trumpet tree
or Tabebvia chrysotricha.
I know it looks dead. It does all year.
My mom calls it the creepy tree.
Its just now starting to bloom.
Soon the whole tree will be covered in yellow flowers.
That is IF we get some rain.
Last year I had a half bloom.
Its pretty old and the biggest I've seen around town.
bloomin'

first bloom from my itty bitty magnolia tree.
Just planted it a week or two ago,
so it was a bit of a surprise to see it.
Its a dwarf variety because its planted near some power lines.
Can't have the power going out every time the wind blows.
