Inspiring artist Yoshitomo Nara

wow.
I just saw this great film about the Japanese
artist Yoshitomo Nara.

Not only are his paintings of wide eyed girls fantastic,
but the way he allows the audience to connect to them
is a whole nother ballgame.

He makes tiny houses. In which you peek in holes,
look off balconeys, or just walk through
to see his art works.

His tiny houses installations...

I got the film from Netflix it's called
New People Artist Series: Vol. 1:
Traveling with Yoshitomo Nara
You really have to watch the movie to get the whole gist of it, and I'm highly recommending it!

The best lobster ever

I don't even like seafood, BUT
this is the best fried lobster tail
I have EVER had in my life.
Where to get it?
Pattigeorges
Its located about mid key on Longboat.

We always do a little surf and turf,
so lets not forget this HUGE steak that we shared.

its waterfront dining
so we watched a blue heron
fishing for his own dinner off the pier.
**always ask for a window seat**

they love each other

the question is....
Do I love them?
Not for 5 days straight that's for sure.
Good thing I got bottles of sedatives
to get me through their love-fest.

Waking me up at 3 am
standing at the edge of my bed barking
at NOTHING.

It's ending today- woohoo!

the problem with going to the islands

You catch a bridge every now and then.

I could have made it through the light on
this one, but the assjack behind me was
tailing me so hard
I decided he needed a time out.
It's one of the longest bridges we have.
So we sat and sat, and waited some more.

It was Lola's first bridge,
and as you can tell from the picture...

She was totally clueless.

So be warned all you dickheads on the road...
I will make your day a little more miserable if I can.

my dirty little secret

In its full glory. My pile of crap.

took me 6 years to accumulate all this crap
and I had it hidden behind my bench!

ahh now that's clean (at least for me)...

it's not over yet... this is my soldering bench under there!
